From the valley floor up to two thousand metres

Hiking with all your senses, holidays like something out of a picture book: climb up over lush green meadows, enjoy wonderful mountain panoramas and feel nothing but the soothing quiet of nature. It takes very little – a pair of walking boots, a well-filled rucksack, which you can borrow at reception, and, if you like, the company of one of our experienced hiking guides.

The great difference in altitude between the valley floor and the summits is what makes the mountains of the Stodertal so impressive. From gentle paths along the crystal-clear Steyr and walks on the alpine pastures near the cable car to marked routes up eleven two-thousand-metre peaks and via ferratas, there is something here for everyone – right in the middle of the Pyhrn-Priel holiday region with its unique variety of species, crystal-clear streams of drinking-water quality and many places worth visiting.

Qualified walking guides accompany you on varied walks on 3 to 5 days a week – you receive the detailed route description the evening before
Walking library with hiking maps, nature guides and books on plants
Advice and help with planning your route – we are happy to provide the right maps for you
The hotel's own hiking bus – free collection if you arrive by train, and transport to the starting point of the guided walks
For other journeys we organise a taxi from the Riedler company
Boot-cleaning station with a water tap and a drying room for boots
