Room rates
- All our rates are given in euros and per person including “Body and Soul” half-board and hotel amenities, excluding visitor’s tax at € 3,00 per person, per night.
- Credit for bed & breakfast arrangement € 10,00 from the standard rate (not applicable to packages).
- No refunds offered for unused services.
- Single supplements according to price list.
Roomnumber
If you also specify a specific room number for the desired room type, we will endeavor to meet your wishes. However, we can not grant you a firm, binding commitment.
Meal Times
We kindly ask you to join us for meals during the following times:
- Breakfast: 7:30 am to 10:00 am
- Afternoon snack & cake buffet: 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm
- Dinner: 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm
Special Dietary Requirements
To ensure that we can accommodate your requirements as well as possible and prepare the meals accordingly, we kindly ask you to inform us of any special dietary requirements or food intolerances at the time of booking.
For the additional effort involved in individual planning and preparation, we charge €10 per person per day.
This applies, for example, to vegan, gluten-free or lactose-free diets, as well as other dietary requirements that require separate preparation.
Thank you for your understanding. Individual preparation involves additional time and organisational effort for our kitchen team.
Styrian Evening
Every Wednesday – unless announced otherwise – our hotel kitchen and bar stay closed in the evening. Instead, it is a five-minute walk over to Gasthof Jaidhaus and its host Gernot Ramsebner, Austria's Wine Host of the Year 2025, where the Styrian Evening awaits you: a starter buffet, pumpkin cream soup, fried chicken, Bauernkrapfen and a good deal more. We don't want to give everything away.
The food is part of your Poppengut inclusive package and costs nothing extra.
Drinks are payable separately, as usual.

- Where Gasthof Jaidhaus, Hinterstoder 2 – a five-minute walk
- Registration required
- Not in the mood for Styrian food? Simply cancel – we will credit € 25.– per adult and € 12.50 per child up to 14 to your nightly rate.
Arriving only on Tuesday or Wednesday? Just let reception know and we will add you. After the deadline on Monday at 22:00 your registration is binding – your place has been booked at the Jaidhaus by then. Subject to change: the buffet and the programme may vary. Should the Styrian Evening not take place, we will cook for you at the hotel as usual – we will let you know in good time.
Smoking policy
- The restaurant, hotel bar and all rooms are non-smoking.
- We have arranged for a smoker’s corner on the way out to the garden, very closely located to the hotel bar.
Dogs
- Small dogs are allowed on inquiry and charged € 15,00 per night not including food.
- Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant and spa areas – thank you for your understanding.
- We reserve the right to add a cleaning charge to your bill if necessary.
Arrival and departure
- Check-in time is at 2.00pm, check-out time is at 11.00am.
- If you arrive after 5:00pm, please let us know.
- On the day of departure our spa facilities can be used free of charge until 3.00pm - until 7.00 pm including afternoon snack & cake buffet for € 25,00 per person (only after signing up at reception).
Reservations
Room cancellation
When booking, the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions apply.
It is a pity if booked rooms remain free, although other guests would have liked to come. But everyone can come up with something in between. Please inform us in time about your no-show. We try to be tolerant if we can occupy the room again. Otherwise, the following rules apply:
Free cancellation until 1 month before arrival
from 1 month before arrival: 40% of the travel price
from 10 days before arrival: 70% of the tour price
from 7 days before arrival or early departure: 100% of the tour price
Health & spa
- We strongly recommend you book your spa treatments at the time you are making your room reservation so we are able to ensure you get the times you want.
- We do not offer refunds for treatments not made use of as part of a spa package.
- Cancellations at short notice are subject to a 50% charge.
